Back in June, some familiar faces travelled to The Midland Hotel in Manchester for the 2026 edition of the Community Transport Awards! West Glamorgan’s Lynsey Hargreaves was joined by Sacha Petrie of Awel Aman Tawe and Roxane Dacey and Christina Christie of Swansea CVS, who all shortlisted for awards at the event. Awel Aman Tawe/Taith Community Transport and Swansea CVS were both nominated for the “Partnership of the Year” award, while Awel Aman Tawe were nominated for the “Commitment to Sustainability” award. Completing the bunch was Lynsey with her nomination for the “Community Transport Ally of the Year” award!

The CTA Awards recognise and celebrate the people, organisations and partnerships making a difference across community transport, with many people and organisations represented across the UK.

We had a fantastic evening at the Community Transport Association Awards in Manchester. I was genuinely surprised and honoured to be nominated for the Ally of the Year Award, for leading the Learning Disability Transport Project in partnership with the Community Transport Association.

It was inspiring to meet so many dedicated community transport professionals and volunteers, that are doing amazing work across the sector, helping people stay connected to their communities and live more independent lives.

While Lynsey, Sacha, Christine and Roxane were not successful in their award categories, being nominated was a fantastic achievement and recognition of their hard work and dedication.
