Emotional Well-being and Mental Health Programme

This Programme covers mental health as a broad subject across health and social care, but with a specific focus on transforming services for adults with or at risk of developing mental health issues.

Maintaining good mental health is a crucial factor in being able to live a happy and fulfilled life.

Given the unprecedented impact on our mental health as a nation (particularly in light of the COVID-19 pandemic), we can’t continue to do things in the same way if we are to meet future challenges and increasing demand.

The scope of the Emotional Well-being and Mental Health (EWMH) Programme covers our regional strategic approach to improving the mental health and well-being of our population. This covers a broad range of services, organisations and activities (including the prevention of poor mental health).

Our vision for this area of work is for people to be able to access support for their mental health where and when it is needed across the health and social care sector.
