Transforming Mental Health Services

This priority focuses on the development of an increased range of opportunities for promoting good emotional health and well-being for children and adults.

This priority focuses on the development of an increased range of opportunities and promoting good emotional health and well-being for children and adults who are struggling with their mental health, and including dementia to access proportionate support across the continuum of need.

There is a particular emphasis on:

  • Implementing a ‘no wrong door’ approach for access to emotional well-being and mental health support.
  • Ensuring timely access to the right help, from the right person at the right time across the continuum of need.
  • Increasing the range of opportunities for children and adults to access support that promotes emotional and psychological well-being and reduce avoidable recourse to specialist mental health services.

The Emotional Well-being and Mental Health Programme delivers against this regional priority.
